Emergency Department Kern Medical Center Bakersfield, CA This 22,000 square foot basic emergency unit with urgent and emergency departments is part of a two-story addition housing the surgery unit on the second floor.

Medical Office Buildings Mercy Healthcare, Bakersfield Southwest Campus In association with KMD, bfgc was responsible for the shell buildings and tenant improvements of the Medical Office Building wings of Mercy Hospital, as well as all of the sitework and construction administration for the total project. The total area for the two medical office buildings is 80,800 sq. ft..

Tower Addition Kern Medical Center Bakersfield, CA This 76,000 sq. ft. four-story tower addition houses a clinical laboratory, a 12 bed medical medical I.C.U., a 12 bed surgical I.C.U., a 26 bed acute care unit and a 20 bed pediatric care unit.

Laboratory Kern Medical Center Bakersfield, CA This 15,000 square foot laboratory is part of a four-story tower addition, also completed by BFGC.

Hospital Remodel Mercy Healthcare Bakersfield, CA This project involved the master planning and implementation of additions and major renovation of this 258 bed acute care general hospital. This addition/remodel was accomplished over a five year sequential construction period with a construction cost of over 18 million dollars. These projects demolished a significant building and modernized over 50 percent of all departments of the hospital while maintaining full hospital services.

Surgery/Recovery Lompoc Hospital Lompoc, CA This 11,500 sq. ft. addition provides inpatient and outpatient surgery units with provisions to add an acute care unit on the 2nd Floor. This addition includes 4 surgery rooms (3 major, 1 minor), cystoscopy and recovery rooms.
