David R. Cartnal, FAIA,
is the firm's CEO, is Principal-in Charge
of the San Jose office and also serves as the firm's Director of Education.
A fellow in the American Institute of Architects, Dave obtained his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering
and his Bachelor of Architecture in Design from California State Polytechnic
University. Mr. Cartnal took graduate work in design-firm
leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and Harvard Business
School, and returned to Harvard in 1991 as guest-lecturer. Additionally, he
has lectured at Stanford University, Occidental College and California State
Polytechnic University-San Luis Obispo. He is a Paul Harris Fellow in
Rotary International, a past president of Rotary, a
former School Board Trustee, and a member of the County School
Boards Association. He has been an advisor to three Governors, two State
School Superintendents and nine different State legislators, and has chaired
or co-chaired twelve successful school bond campaigns, raising three-hundred
fifty-two million dollars for California schools.

Frank Ghezzi, AIA,
is the corporation's secretary and,
along with Mark Engelien leads the Bakersfield office. Frank also serves as
the firm's director of design and has 40 years of experience with career
emphasis on design and healthcare facility planning. Mr. Ghezzi has a
Master of Architecture Degree (1957) from the Swiss Federal Institute of
Technology, is a Registered Architect in the State of California since 1961
(registration C-3132), and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
He is a past president of the Golden Empire Chapter of the A.I.A., a past
president of the Bakersfield South Rotary Club, a Director of the Friends
of Mercy Hospital Foundation and a past member of the Advisory Committee,
Central California Health Systems Agency.

Mark Engelien, AIA,
Co-Principal-in-Charge of the Bakersfield
office and the corporation's treasurer, has thirty years experience, seventeen
as Principal Architect, with specific responsibility for project and firm
management, design programming and over-all project delivery.

William R. Tuculet, AIA,
is the corporation's vice president,
as well as Principal-in-Charge of the San Luis Obispo office. Bill is a
talented designer, as demonstrated by his numerous awards for educational,
commercial and residential projects. He prides himself on his leadership
ability. In the last several years has become an accomplished planner,
leading the master planning process for many school districts. His "can
do" attitude generates a successful team approach to projects.

Dean Tatsuno, AIA,
has twenty-three years experience,
nineteen as Director/Principal Architect with specific responsibility for
design, project management, programming, master planning and project delivery.
Mr. Tatsuno has extensive experience in new construction, remodel and
modernization projects and in the preparation of educational specifications
and facility assessments. He has extensive experience working with the
Office of Public School Construction, the Division of the State Architect
and the California Department of Education and has been instrumental in
facilitating projects through state agency approvals. Career emphasis on
design and planning of educational facilities.

Bruce Biggar, PE, AIA,
is a Principal Architect, Manager,
and Engineer with twenty years experience in project management, design and
construction. A licensed architect and electrical engineer, Bruce is responsible
for project delivery processes including planning, document preparation,
quality, schedule, cost, management, and project closure. Mr. Biggar has
been Project Manager for a variety of educational, health care, and institutional
projects, ranging from site development and utility services to complete
hospital facilities; from design build to fast-track construction management
type projects. Bruce is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute
and has received the Institute's Construction Documents Technologist Certification.
His career emphasis has been in quality document preparation and contract
administration for educational and healthcare projects.

Brad Henderson, AIA, CDS,
is a Project Director with twenty-six
years experience, twenty-one as Project Architect; Educational project specialist
in both public and private sectors with extensive experience in the preparation of
educational specifications, facility assessments and architectural programs. As a
Certified Developmental Strategist, Mr. Henderson’s involvement is the facilitating
the process of investigation, analysis, discovery and synthesis of ideas, attitudes
and objectives toward one common goal – a business-based strategic plan, focusing on
the needs of Clients and the opportunities of development with possible solutions.
This process involves our understanding of your ‘business’ objectives within your
organization to provide a ‘road map’ of how best to meet these objectives. Associated
duties include production scheduling and coordination; project leadership in design,
contracts, planning, and project development from initial programming through construction
and post-occupancy; professional liaison for satisfying agency requirements on different
levels of authority. In addition, Mr. Henderson is Principal-in-Charge of the BFGC Portable
Strike-Force Team, providing "turnkey" architectural and planning services to school districts
considering pre-manufactured classroom structures, providing overall project management and
coordination through the total process (design to start-up activities).

Richard Mello, AIA,
is a Construction Administrator, Project
Architect and Designer for projects including educational, commercial,
residential, light industrial and space planning. Rick is the construction
administrator and project architect for the San Luis Obispo office.
